Brainstorming

    Hey,

The first meeting with my group went incredibly well, we have a set goal and vision with can accomplish. We decided to use the colors or black and white to represent Privilege Vs Non-Privilege. The genre that made the most sense was drama. 

   The Privileged would get a head start on the game, as they would in real life, while after a time-skip the Non-Privileged would begin to move. The two would battle until they are on an even playing field, a stalemate. The film will have an open ending with the ending sound of a piece falling, the viewers won’t know who won.

  As the editor, while we were discussing, I could see a rough idea on what the film will look like. I could see where a camera change could go, a time-skip or hearing the pieces move on the chess board. During the production, I’ll have to keep a clean record of useful clips, plus getting foley sounds of the chess board and pieces. Maybe some nature sounds like wind or birds beforehand too.
