1. Introduction

Hello, my name is Vanessa and I'm in 11th grade attending Coral Springs High School in Florida. I work for a content creator, as an editor, for about one and a half years now, doing simple edits and entire videos at times. Editing is something I'm passionate about, seeing people get excited and entertained by tiny or enormous edits. It brings me joy when when others are delighted by something I create.

For this film, I've decided to not be an editor, but to focus on cinematography. For the videos I normally edit, it's a video game with a set view, first person. Now that the film I'm creating can be moved by me personally, I want to see what I can do with different camera angles. To see the character from a different angle, to understand what looks dynamic for the view to keep the viewer entertained. It'll be a challenge for me since I'm not used to viewing from an unfixed view, but a challenge is never simple!

For the entire film, I've decided to shoot, act, edit, basically create the entire thing on my own. Working on my own will lead to hindrances, although, it gives me more control on how the film will end up. I can see how I want the film to look like, and sometimes having people involved with the creation or help of the film can mess that up. Like their opinions can overthrow your own and having the talk about how bad that idea could be is difficult. There are camera angles I want where it requires someone to move the camera, but there are ways to dolly without someone, like using a skateboard to move the entire tripod. Finding new ways to create my film will push me to view and do something I might not have done before, which is never bad!
