13. Depending on the sun
The film depends on the sun for the entire film, for natural lighting in the room. Which will show the brightness/ comfort the character has in the room and that the darkness is kept outside the room. The real problem is the sunset. The weather and my own time is a tough barrier in this production phase. The weekend I had the equipment I couldn't get any sunset shots, since it was cloudy everyday. The coming up weekend I won't have time to take any shots. Sunset lasts for about a hour, which isn't much time to do what I have planned, so I would have to go on separate days too.
I feel that I may have to change the sunset to a midday shot instead. In relation to the room shot it is more reasonable for it to be midday as the character would storm out at that time, however the character would been show sitting there, seemingly for a while, maybe waiting till sunset. If it has to be changed then the red paint over the camera would need to change to a yellow or a blue to keep with the same idea with the camera zoomed in the sky.
That changes the meaning to the scene, red is to typically represent angry, while yellow is happiness and blue is sadness. The character feels incredibly frustrated and angry, they aren't at the point where they are sad yet. I could do red paint over the lens, and have a midday river shot and try to blend the colors nicely during editing, which can show the sadness the character now feels at that current moment. Filming during midday also gives more time to shoot as well.
